Samsung Electronics has announced the new Galaxy Smart Tag 2 to keep your valuables safe. The company is launching the new version after two years of introducing the first smart tag. It will be launched globally on October 11.
It comes with more tracking features. This tag can be used to locate valuables and track the whereabouts of pets.
With its lost mode, the customer can add his contact information to the tag with the help of a text message. If a tagged object or pet is lost, someone else finds them and they can scan the tag using their NFC-enabled smartphone to find the owner’s information. It works with any NFC-enabled smartphone, NFC reader, and web browser.
It also features a long battery life. It also provides an improved compass view feature. Through this system, the lost objects can be easily found with the help of arrows. This feature will be available on Galaxy phones that support UWB.
Samsung has also brought updates to the Smart Things Find app. Users can add shortcuts to the app on their smartphone. It features a full screen map with an improved interface.
The battery life of the Galaxy Smart Tag is 700 days in power saving mode. 500 days of charge in normal mode. It’s almost double the size of the old Galaxy Smart Tag. It comes with an IP67 rating.
