Entertainment desk: Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan, has been acquitted in the drug case. However, the case still continues. In this case, former Maharashtra NCB officer Sameer Wankhed is accused of demanding bribe from Shahrukh. This time bribery charges were raised against King Khan. A public interest case was filed in the Mumbai High Court on behalf of the PIL on whether Shahrukh wanted to save his son Aryan or bribe him. The hearing of this case is on June 20 of this month.
According to the petition, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against Sameer Wankhed, the former Mumbai Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau or NCB. The FIR was filed against him for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to save Aryan Khan from the 2021 cruise drug party.
According to a report in India Today, the CBI wanted to conduct narco-analysis and lie detector tests to uncover the truth of what exactly happened.
The petition further states that Section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act provides that if a person bribes an official to obtain any favor from a public servant, that person is also liable, including prosecution.
