Entertainment desk: The new movie ‘Thank you for coming’ starring Bhumi Pednekar was released a couple of weeks ago. Directed by Karan Bulani, the main premise of this film is sex. In the adult-comedy film, Bhumi has acted in bold scenes, more specifically scenes of self-harm. For which both discussion and criticism are gathering.
Talking about her character and daring scenes in the film, Bhumi said, ‘I believe the orgasm scene has been beautifully shot. Karan (producer) told me that the camera will only capture my facial expressions.’
Elaborating further, Bhumi said, ‘My character was only looking for lust, not like that. He was looking for love. Blaming himself for not finding love and being with the wrong person. He felt incomplete. We (women) have a tendency to blame ourselves; Because we think we have something less than boys.’

Bhumi said that he did not feel any discomfort while acting in that scene. He commented, ‘I have faith in the audience. If you look closely at the scene, don’t see anything obvious. I was fully clothed. This is where the artistic being of the maker emerges.’
The themes of friendship, loneliness, finding love and fulfillment among women have come up in the movie ‘Thank You for Coming’. It also stars Shehnaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shivani Bedi along with Bhumi Pednekar. Besides, Anil Kapoor is in a guest role. However, after the release, the film failed at the box office.
