Rakesh Bolodia, a blind fan of Kumar Shanu reached Mumbai by bicycle from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. On reaching Kumar Shanu’s house in Mumbai, the artist warmly invited him. Kumar Shanu gave a warm welcome and hug. Rakesh carried a hand-made bouquet of flowers for his favorite star. His visit has caught the attention of people across the country, and has also received a lot of praise.
In an interview given to Indian news agency ANI, Rakesh said, I have no words to express my emotions. I started listening to Kumar Shanu’s songs when I was in class 12th. I was inspired to listen to that song and started singing myself. And that’s why I got a lot of people’s love. And love for Kumar Shanu has brought me here today. My family and everyone else stood by me when I started this journey, because everyone in my town knows how much I love Shanu Da.
In this regard, Kumar Shanu said, Rakesh had cycled from such a far distance only to meet me. I was surprised to hear that someone would cycle from that far. So I was worried that nothing would happen on the way. I am very relieved to see him now. I feel very good.
