Entertainment desk: Film director Sohanur Rahman Sohan left for the country of no return a day after his wife’s death. He died in his sleep at his Uttara residence on Wednesday (September 13) evening. Producer Khorshed Alam Khosru confirmed this information to the media.
Earlier, his wife died of brain stroke on Tuesday (September 12).

Sohanur Rahman Sohan is the maker of many successful films. His first film directed was ‘Viswa Abiswa’. Salman Shah, Moushumi, Poppy and Erin Zaman came to the film by the hand of this producer. He was also the director of Shakib Khan’s first movie.
Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s notable films are – Qayamat to Qayamat, Swajan, Amar Ghar Amar Behesht, Anant Rehada. Sohanur Rahman Sohan served as Secretary General and Vice President twice in Bangladesh Film Directors Association. Sohanur Rahman started his film career as an assistant to Sohan Shibli Sadiq.
