Entertainment Desk: Heroic freedom fighter Akbar Hossain Khan Dulu alias Nayak Farooq was an actor but he had a watchful eye towards mosques and madrassas in religious work. During his lifetime he kept track of the Masjid Madrasah as long as he was alive.
Superintendent AHM Kaushar Alam of Som Mozaddediya Sunnia Dakhil Madrasa, established on the waqf land of his father Azgar Hossain Pathan, said these things while reminiscing about actor Farooq on Wednesday (May 17) afternoon.
He said, Farooq Sahib was in Kadria Sistia Lillah boarding of that madrasa since birth. And he would personally bear all the expenses of that Lillah boarding. Besides, the orphans who stayed in the madrasa, were kept in touch with their food and drink, clothes and clothes.
The superintendent of the madrasa also said that whenever he came home, he used to inquire about the madrasa. Besides, there is a 30 percent land in the market next to the madrasa, which has been waqfed by his father Azgar Hossain Pathan in the name of the madrasa. Madrasa is running with its income.
It is to be noted that Nayak Farooq died on May 15 at around 10 am local time while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He was 75 years old. He is survived by wife Farzana Pathan, daughter Fariha Tabassum Pathan and son Roshan Hossain, relatives, friends and numerous fans.
Janaza was held on Tuesday (May 16) around 9 pm at the Eidgah Maidan adjacent to the central Jame Masjid in Somtiori. After the funeral, he was buried in the family cemetery adjacent to the mosque at 9:30. Earlier, his body was brought to the ancestral home of hero, MP and freedom fighter Akbar Hossain Pathan Dulu alias Farooq around 7:30 pm. People of all classes and professions of the area paid their respects there.
