Entertainment Desk: Ashraful Hossain aka Hero Alam will be a candidate in the by-election in the seat of late actor Farooq (Dhaka-17).
He went to the Agargaon Election Commission in Dhaka on Monday afternoon to collect nomination papers as an independent candidate. At that time, he told the media that he wanted to finish the unfinished works of the member of parliament Akbar Hossain Khan Pathan alias Nayak Farooq.
Hero Alam told reporters, ‘I want to do Farooq Bhai’s unfinished works. As I love media, I will be somewhat blessed if I can do even one unfinished work of Farooq bhai. All in all, I want to be elected in Dhaka-17 seat.
Dhaka-17 Constituency consists of Gulshan, Banani, Bhashantek Thana and Cantonment area. This area is known as the elite area of the capital. About reaching out to the voters, Hero Alam said, ‘I got courage after seeing the Gazipur elections. This election will be fair. That is why I am participating in this election. I think people will vote for me after seeing my honesty.’
Before this, Hero Alam participated in the by-elections of Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) and Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituencies held on February 1. He lost in both seats. In Bogra-4 constituency, his symbol was Ekta. Although he contested fiercely in this seat, he lost his security in Bogra-6 seat.
