We are sitting on a fairly hot griddle. Many people are throwing chaff on the fire under the pan, some are giving ghee. I am very worried about what will happen next December. I am sure most people in Bangladesh are in such a state of anxiety.
Only our foresight, the compassion of our hearts, and a willing mind to co-exist can remove this anxiety.

The party that is in power here wants to wipe out the party that is out of power! And it goes on and on. This desire to wipe out goes so deep into personal life that we want to send Safa Kabir out of the country for the crime of not knowing Shahriar Kabir. It’s like a court martial sitting on the crime of not knowing Kim Jong Un.
I have also been sent to Pakistan for many such mob trials. Some have been sent to India for trial.
I was writing in an article around 2014 or 2015, Awami League-BNP is a reality in this country. It is not possible for Awami League to throw billions of BNP supporters into the Bay of Bengal. It is not possible for BNP either. Even though Jamaat-e-Islami has been under intense pressure for almost ten years, it has shown in the rally that you cannot wipe out people who believe in any ideology. Instead, what happens in the end in this effort is the loss of our collective energy! The life force of the nation is lost.
We are leaving a lot of things. Avoid toileting in the open. Learning to use mobile phones instead of analog phones. Why can’t I learn to be together? Why don’t I want to understand that everyone will not join the same group as me, will not believe in the same creator, will not eat the same food, will not love in the same way? Why don’t you want to understand that all sides of the society will be together with their stake? There will be arguments, there will be debates, but there will be no failed attempts at elimination.
Time has come for all eradication committees to close shop.
