Entertainment Desk: ‘House of the Dragon’ second season cast list has been released. HBO has revealed the new cast of this hugely popular series.
The second season will feature four new characters. This includes Gail Rankin, who will play the role of ‘Alice Rivers’. Alice is a physician and a resident of Harrenhal. In George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire and Blood, Alice is a mysterious witch who becomes a powerful figure in the Targaryen’s Green Party.
Simon Russell Beale will play Ser Simon Strong, the castellan of Harrenhal and great-uncle of Lord Larys Strong. The character was played by Matthew Needham in the first season. He won two BAFTA Awards and three Olivier Awards for his performance in this role.
Freddie Fox will play the role of ‘Ser Gwen Hightower’ who is Otto Hightower’s son and Queen Alicent’s brother and uncle to her children. On the other hand, Abubakar Salim will play the role of ‘Aleen of Hull’. He is a sailor in the Velarion fleet who can be seen in the Stepstone campaign.

The second season of House of the Dragon will consist of eight episodes. Two episodes short of the first season. There is already huge hype around the series. Following the release of the first season, HBO announced a second and third season due to its popularity. The prequel series of ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘House of the Dragon’, is known as the best TV series of all time. It stars Millie Allock, Emma D’Archie, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Paddy Considine, Eve Best and a host of stars.
