Entertainment Desk: Film director Sohanur Rahman Sohan moved to the land of no return a day after his wife’s death. He died in his sleep at his residence in Uttara. He was 56 years old at the time of his death.
He died in his sleep at his Uttara residence on Wednesday (September 13). Later, when he was taken to Crescent Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead around 6:40 PM. The news of Sohan’s death was confirmed by Kabirul Islam Rana, Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Film Directors Association.

He said that Sohan was sleeping at his home after having lunch. In the evening, the people of the house called him but did not get any response. After that, the door was opened and he was taken to Uttara Crescent Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
When the news of director Sohan’s death spread, film people expressed grief on social media. Earlier on Tuesday (September 12) night, Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s wife Priya died of a stroke in a private hospital in the capital.
Sohanur Rahman Sohan is the producer of many films. His first film directed was ‘Viswa Abiswa’. Salman Shah, Moushumi, Poppy and Erin Zaman came to the film by the hand of this producer. He was also the director of Shakib Khan’s first movie.
