Entertainment Desk: Independent candidate Ashraful Alam alias Hero Alam, who was elected under Ektar symbol, was attacked on the day of by-election in Dhaka-17 constituency. He went to the detective (DB) office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police to identify the attackers in this incident.
Hero Alam entered the DB office on Minto Road in the capital on Thursday (July 20) at 3:30 pm.
Earlier on Thursday, a DB source said that Hero Alam was called to the DB office at 3 pm. He has been called mainly for the purpose of identifying the people directly involved in the attack.
Sitting in the office, Hero Alam said, DB chief Haroon Or Rashid called me to the DB office to identify the attackers who attacked me. So I came.
It is to be noted that a group of people beat up Hero Alam outside the Banani Vidyaniketan School and College Center at 3:30 pm on the day of the by-election in Dhaka-17 Constituency on July 17. At that time, he was seen running away to escape the beating. Later he returned home after receiving treatment at Better Life Hospital in Rampura.
