Entertainment Desk: Ashraful Hossain aka Hero Alam has expressed his desire to be a candidate in the by-election of the Dhaka-17 constituency which fell vacant due to the death of actor Akbar Hossain Khan Pathan Farooq.
He confirmed to the media that he will collect nomination papers as an independent candidate on Monday afternoon.
Hero Alam said, I have decided to participate in the election in Dhaka-17 constituency. I don’t want to say why I took it now. I will go to bring nomination papers after noon today.

It is to be noted that Hero Alam was a candidate in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) and Bogra-6 (Sadar) by-elections held in February this year. He lost by only 834 votes in Bogra-4 constituency. However, after losing Bogra-6 seat, his security deposit was forfeited.
