Entertainment Desk: Ashraful Alam aka Hero Alam has announced his candidacy for Dhaka-17 by-election. On Monday afternoon, he went to the Agargaon Election Commission of Dhaka and announced that he will collect nomination papers as an independent candidate.
Hero Alam gave this information to reporters after meeting with DMP Intelligence Chief Harun Or Rashid at noon.
Film hero Ferdous, cricketer Shakib and many others have announced to be candidates for parliament in this seat. Do you hope to win against such important candidates? When asked, Hero Alam said, ‘What do you think? Am hero alam less important than them? I won’t count anyone out. It does not matter who is vital, who is standing, who is not real in the electoral competition. I am coming against them as Hero Alam Vital.’
Hero Alam said, ‘I got people’s love while voting in Bogra. Members of Parliament of Dhaka-17 Constituency were Mia Bhai, Farooq Bhai from the film industry. He is a media person. He could not work in the area due to various reasons. I am also a media worker. For that I want to do his unfinished works. Many may think that Hero Alam is loved only by rickshaw-van drivers. I have visited this seat myself for a few days. I saw that not much work was done. Let’s see if I can do something in the next 4-5 months? From that thought, the thought of becoming a candidate for the election.
Hero Alam also said, ‘I visited Dhaka-17 seats. The local people assured me. Everyone says you come we want you. I am running as a candidate for the election. Many say I am a son of the slum. I want to work for the development of Bhashantech, Mahakhali Karail Basti area.
