Entertainment Desk: The movie ‘Mujib: Shaper of a Nation’ based on the biography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is running in theaters from last Friday. Ever since the announcement of the movie’s production, the audience has been very interested in it. The wait to see the father of the nation on the celluloid screen is over. Theater owners said that they have been getting good audiences since the release.
Such information was found by searching some theaters in the capital. Iftekhar Uddin Naushad, leader of Madhumita in Motijheel, said, “Mujib movie is not going bad for me here.” going well Party people are coming together, more tickets are being sold.
We have 4 shows going on. Among them, the 11:30 am special show and the afternoon show are getting more viewers. The audience is showing interest in the film, it is doing better than usual other films. The film about the biography of our leader is creating a kind of frenzy among all. So it’s a good audience.
Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, senior marketing manager of Star Cineplex, said that Cineplex also has audience pressure. He said that the movie Mujeeb was a long awaited movie, people were waiting for it. Getting a lot of good response. Several shows are going houseful.
Around 21 shows are running in all the branches of Cineplex, some more shows are being extended due to the pressure of the audience. Afternoon and evening shows are getting a lot of visitors. All in all going very well.
On the other hand, Mirza Abdul Khalek, owner of Lion Cinema Hall, said that they are not getting as many visitors as compared to expectations. He said, I am not doing very well here. The expected audience is not meeting our expectations. For example, 18 to 20 tickets were sold for today’s 12:00 PM show and 30 to 35 tickets were sold for the 3:30 PM show. The tickets are not being sold, but the tickets are very good. I can’t find the reason why it’s not happening. But young visitors are very few, yesterday I was in the hall all day, I saw more than 65 visitors. But only two days, maybe the audience can increase.
But after watching the movie, a touch of satisfaction is seen in the eyes of the audience. It is as if you can see Bangabandhu alive on the screen. Arifin is also appreciating Shuvo as Bangabandhu. A visitor who came to Star Cineplex said, I came to see the movie to see the life of Bangabandhu better. i am satisfied Those who have not seen Bangabandhu, will get to know him through his character actor (Arefin Shubo) on screen. I felt the reading of the book on the screen. This movie should have been made earlier.
Many viewers are getting emotional after watching the movie. A viewer said, I found this scene very heartbreaking on August 15. Brought tears to my eyes.
