Entertainment Desk: Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel made their debut in Bollywood together with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. And the very next year in 2001, Sunny Deol-Amisha’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released. That too was a super hit. In an interview recently after the success of Gadar 2, an emotional Amisha went back to the memory and said, ‘After the success of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Hrithik’s place for the people of India was right after the Prime Minister.
In a recent interview, Amisha Patel said, ‘Kaho Naa… Right after Pyaar Hai, I worked with some of the best directors in India… Suraj Barjatia, Subhash Ghai, Yash Raj Films… but none of my other films had the same success. One day I was discussing it on the set. On a Friday (after the release of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai), Hrithik Roshan became the most powerful person in the country right after the Prime Minister. And then people don’t like Hrithik’s picture anymore.

What kind of world is it? I think Hrithik is a demi-god, he is the Greek God of Bollywood, he is a superstar forever. Good talent can never be shaken.’
In Amisha’s words, ‘It felt very bad when the people who lifted Hrithik up, put him under his feet. When Rakesh Chacha announced Koi Mil Gaya after almost three years, it seemed that this time he would be back.
Ameesha added, ‘We would then start shooting for Aap Mujhe Ache Lagane Laga and we would talk. We shot on the set a day after one of his (Hrithik’s) films (Maya Prem Ki Deewani Hoon) flopped. He was very upset then. Our first film was such a big hit, and it hurts even more if it flops. Hrithik was telling me, Amisha, you have given your second hit with Ghadar O, and I have only started giving flops.
The government will buy two cargoes of LNG for Tk 1243 crore
I then told him not to worry, time will come again. Then Koi… I was getting tensed before the release of Mil Gaya, what if people don’t watch it too!’ Amisha said that she spoke to Hrithik recently. Rakesh Roshan also sent her a lovely message congratulating her on the success of Gadar 2.
