Entertainment Desk: Bangladeshi actress Ajmeri Haque Bandhan worked in a Bollywood movie for the first time. She made her Bollywood debut with the web film ‘Khufia’ released on Netflix.
After the release of the movie, Bandhan’s performance was praised as well as criticized for some reasons. The story of the film revolves around an officer of the Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’, played by Tabu. He met Hina Rahman when he came to Bangladesh for operation. And Bandhan acted in this role.
Bandhan is portrayed as a homosexual in the movie. According to the family, society and social values of Bangladesh, this character has become questionable. There has also been discussion and criticism about the homosexuality of Tabu’s association with the screen.
However, this Bangladeshi actress is not paying attention to these criticisms. He said that Bandhan’s performance is being appreciated even though he had a short screen appearance in his first film in Bollywood.

Bandhan told an Indian media, ‘Vishal Bharadwaj had already told me that there is a homosexual theme in this film. Wanted to know if there would be any problem. But for me the opportunity to act in Bollywood, working with Vishal and Tabu felt great.’

In his words, ‘I know some will say. Some people in the society are narrow minded. But Bangladesh has given everyone the right to live freely.
Bandhan also said, ‘I am forty now. At the age of 35, I started life anew. Before him there was a bond, then there is a bond. Earlier, the bonds for family, friends, society survived. Now Bandhan lives for himself. He has no chains.’
Incidentally, the popular small screen actress Mehjabeen Chowdhury did not do this movie at first due to the controversial story. When Mehzabeen did not want to act, the director of the movie Vidya Sinha offered Mim to work in this movie. For the same reason MIM also refused to act in the movie.
