The movie “The Trial” revolves around Naynika Sengupta, a mother who is challenged to support her family after her husband is involved in a bribery and sex scandal. He was forced to join a law firm.
Interestingly, the firm is co-owned by Vishal Choubey, played by Ali Khan, who is Nayonica’s ex-boyfriend from their college days. Although Nyonika eventually marries Rajeev Sengupta (played by Jesus Sengupta), she reconnects with Vishal years later and their meeting sparks a romantic connection, leading to a kiss at a pivotal point in the show.
Ali Khan mentioned kissing Kajol in January 2023, sharing his experience working with her. He expressed his admiration for Kajol, saying that he has been her fan for three decades. He also mentioned that they worked together in the same studio. Ali Khan revealed that they had a kissing scene in the series where he played Kajol’s boyfriend.
He noted that the shoot was conducted in a professional manner without any shame, embarrassment or hesitation. They rehearsed the scene multiple times, discussed their approach, and once they were satisfied they moved on. Kajal thanks him and expresses her gratitude.
