ONothing is trying to launch a budget smartphone. The company has launched two premium smartphones so far. They are Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2. A budget smartphone named Nothing Phone 2A is rumored to be launched soon. Nothing has written ‘Something coming this week’ in his profile bio on social media website X. But the company did not specify what it meant.
Apart from a cheaper version of the Nothing Phone 2, there is no indication yet that Nothing will release a new earphone or watch. The new phone has received BIS approval. That means the phone will be launched in India as well.
The Nothing Phone 2A will be a smartphone with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. It will have a punch hole display. It is not clear which chipset it will use. As it is a budget phone, it will use any of Qualcomm’s or MediaTek’s mid-range 5G chips. The Glyph interface, which is the main feature of Nothing phones, will also be present in the budget phone.
The base model of the Nothing Phone 2, the 8GB 128/GB variant was launched in India at Rs 44,999. But now the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs 39,999. The 12GB/256GB variant has also been reduced to Rs 44,999.. which means this phone is available in the range of Rs 40,000. So, the cheaper version of the Nothing Phone 2A is expected to be priced in the Rs 30,000 range. As it is a brand that launches premium phones, it cannot go down to 20000.
