Despite crossing the 40 mark, his lean looks and executioner’s skin have been praised in Bolipara. But at the beginning of his career, Saif Ali Khan’s wife was a victim of sarcasm from one of the film makers of Balipara about her body structure.
Kareena entered Bollywood in 2000. He made his debut with the film ‘Refugee’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan, son of veteran actor ‘Angry Young Man’ Amitabh Bachchan.
‘Kaho Na… Paar Hai’ was supposed to be the first film of Kareena’s career. She was supposed to make her Hindi film debut with Hrithik Roshan, son of Bollywood’s top producer Rakesh Roshan. But within a few days of the shooting, Kareena withdrew herself from the film.
Rakesh was in charge of directing the film ‘Kaho Na…Par Hai’. According to Bolipara sources, Kareena felt that more emphasis was placed on characterizing the hero than characterizing the heroine in the movie. So he did not agree to act in this film.
Kareena has been associated with the acting world for more than two decades. Apart from acting, he also appeared in promotions for ‘Zero Figure’. But Kareena’s weight was not so low at the beginning of her career. Aditya Chopra, one of Bolipara’s filmmakers, who is now actress Rani Mukerji’s husband, also reportedly took a jibe at Kareena’s weight.
Early in her career, Kareena was supposed to act in a bikini scene in a film as per the script requirement. He finished the shooting as promised. But as soon as the film was released, Kareena’s anger started pouring into her ears.
Aditya commented that Kareena looks completely out of place in the bikini scene. Aditya blames the excess weight of the actress behind the mismatched look, not because of the clothes.
Aditya was not alone, an actor from Bolipara also kept pace with Yash-putra. Actors Saif Ali Khan and Aditya commented, “Kareena is a very healthy woman. Weight is also high. It doesn’t suit her in a bikini at all.”
Kareena decided to lose weight after hearing Aditya’s and Saif’s comments on the part of Balipara. The film ‘Tashan’ was released in theaters in 2008 under the production of Yash Raj Films. Kareena was seen acting opposite Saif and Akshay Kumar in this film.
Kareena’s other form is captured in the film ‘Tashan’. She was caught on screen in a bold outfit with a lean look. The actress also said that the process of shedding excess body fat was very difficult.
In an old interview, Kareena said that she had to follow a strict diet to lose weight. Kareena also said that it is not right to have such a habit of eating and drinking along with exercise.

Kareena said, “My personal life was always discussed. A thousand questions about why I married Saif, why I turned down multiple film offers, when my son Taimur will join school, grow up and act at all.”
Kareena was also questioned as to why Kareena was not working with Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions at a time when Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta were acting in back-to-back films in the Hindi film industry.
