Thiruvananthapuram: Reliance Jio, the world’s largest private mobile data network, has launched Air Fiber services in Kerala. Services are currently available in Thiruvananthapuram city. Jio Air Fiber was launched in the country on September 19.

Jio Air Fiber plan offers unlimited data at 30 Mbps speed for Rs 599. Also, 100 Mbps speed plans of Rs 899 and Rs 1199 are available. 1199 plan will offer 17 OTT platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Jio Cinema Premium. 14 OTT apps are available in the other two plans.

Jio’s optical fiber infrastructure spans over 1.5 million kilometers across India. Jio’s extensive optical fiber presence provides Jio services to more than 200 million locations. But due to complications in bringing optical fiber to the hinterlands of the country, millions of subscribers are without access to home broadband. The company says that Jio Air Fiber can overcome these obstacles.
