Entertainment Desk: The court has issued a summons to file a reply in the case seeking compensation of Tk 100 crore against Shakib Khan, the hero of the movie Dhakai, on the charge of defamation.
Shafiqul Islam, head of Dhaka’s first joint district judge’s court, confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
He said that on April 30, producer Rahmat Ullah filed a case through his lawyer in the court of the first joint district judge of Dhaka, Masudul Haque. In this case, the court has ordered the defendant Shakib Khan to submit his reply by May 15.
Producer Rehmat Ullah filed this case through his lawyer in the court of First Joint District Judge Masudul Haque of Dhaka on April 30. He demanded compensation of 100 crore rupees by alleging defamation in the case.
On April 13, Rahmat Ullah filed a case as a plaintiff in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam. The court accepted the statement of the plaintiff and directed the PBI to investigate.
Earlier, Rahmat Ullah’s lawyer sent a legal notice to Shakib Khan on behalf of Rahmat Ullah due to his deceptive and offensive comments to the media.
