Entertainment Desk: Kolkata’s Ritabhari Chakraborty starrer ‘Fatafati’ is coming soon. Abir Chattopadhyay also acted with him in it. So for now Ritabhari Chakraborty’s time is spent in running for the promotion of the movie. He played the role of Phullara in it.
For this he had to increase the weight of about 26-26 kg! The actress talks about her upcoming film. The actress gained weight for the film. Had to work a lot. About gaining weight, the actress said, gaining weight is not easy either. There is quite a problem. That may be a normal weight for many, but not for me.
Like in my family my aunt is overweight due to thyroid problem, my maternal aunt is also overweight. But Ratabhari never had that. I was having trouble breathing, the energy labels fell off, then climbing stairs, sitting on the ground, was very difficult. But if I didn’t gain weight, I couldn’t portray the character properly. People who are overweight, their walking, getting up and down are all a little different. So I had to do it.
Because body is a tool for me as an actress, I am happy to be able to use it for fuller. The actress also said that my weight had increased by five to six kg as a result of the surgery. Everyone knows it. Then add another 19 kg to ‘fatafati’. I wanted to gain a total of 20 kg. 25 kg in all.
They were there, there was a matter of making them like characters. I grew up very confident from my childhood. But that is not the case with the movie character Fullra. Mutki, Dhepsi, Hati, Phullas grew up hearing these words. So he doesn’t have much confidence. Later, how he gradually built himself up, increased his confidence, that is in this movie. I also had to spend that time getting into that character.
The identities of the three people who were shot wearing burqas have been identified
I had to completely prepare myself for the character. Ritabhari-Abir duo’s ‘Fatafati’ is releasing on May 12. It also stars Soma Chakraborty, Swastika Dutta. It is directed by Aritra Mukherjee.
