WhatsApp will notify all these phone owners to upgrade their phone as part of the termination of the service. However, since these phones are old, the users of these phones are likely to be very less. Anyway, WhatsApp will stop serving these phones after October 24.
Older phone users can check which Android OS they are running. Upgrade your phone if it’s Android 4.1 or earlier. Old OS versions that don’t receive security updates are not only not getting WhatsApp.
